A pseudonym, a password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and optionally an email address if you give us one. If you post a roast, we store the text, the tag you pick, and a photo if you attach one. We do not collect real names, and you don't need to give us one.
RoastMyParking publishes UK vehicle registration plates alongside commentary about parking behaviour. A registration plate can, in some circumstances, be used to identify a vehicle's keeper — so we treat plate data with the same care as personal data, even though we never collect or display the identity of a vehicle's owner ourselves. Comments must be about the parking, not the person (see our Terms), and reported content is reviewed by a human.
To run the core feature — letting you post and read roasts — and, if you opt in, to send account emails (verification, password reset, occasional updates). We don't sell data, and we don't use it for ad targeting.
Email delivery runs through Resend. Hosting and the database run on Vercel and Supabase. None of them see your data beyond what's needed to deliver those services.
You can change or delete your email at any time from Settings. To request deletion of your account, your posts, or a specific plate entry — including if you're a vehicle keeper who wants a plate removed — email hello@roastmyparking.com with the plate or username in question. We aim to action removal requests within a few days.
